THE SECRETS OF PSYCHEDELIC INTEGRATION – A DOUBLE WORKSHOP

“Why do you seek more knowledge when you make so little use of what you already have?”
— Sufi parable

The psychedelic renaissance is in full swing. Researchers are exploring new therapeutic applications of psychoactive substances, the media continue to report on new discoveries, and more and more people are experimenting with altered states of consciousness on their own.

In practice, many quickly discover that a single session rarely resolves their difficulties, and that profound experiences do not automatically translate into meaningful changes in everyday life. Some struggle with difficult or traumatic experiences, while others keep seeking the next experience, hoping for a breakthrough. Yet one of the most important parts of the process is integration.

Even professionally facilitated sessions require conscious follow-up work with emotions, the body, and the experience itself. When people experiment on their own, without adequate preparation or support, the need for integration can be even greater. Another challenge is that not all mental health professionals know how to work with these kinds of experiences—they may sometimes be dismissed or, at the other extreme, overly pathologized.

In response to the growing need for conscious and informed integration, we have created a workshop dedicated to working with non-ordinary states of consciousness. As both pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches become increasingly popular, it is worth learning evidence-informed tools, separating myths from facts, and developing the skills to support both yourself and others.

The workshop is designed primarily for psychologists, therapists, and other mental health professionals, but we also welcome anyone who would like to better integrate their own experiences or learn how to support people close to them.

We work in a unique four-day format:

  • Day 1 – theory, integration models, case studies, and practical exercises.
Days 2–3 – an intensive experiential process including two Holotropic Breathwork sessions, using the method developed by Stanislav Grof as a legal alternative to psychedelic therapy.
Day 4 – integration of your own experiences, along with hands-on training in supporting others under the guidance of experienced facilitators.

The program draws on our many years of experience working with altered states of consciousness—from Holotropic Breathwork and ketamine-assisted therapy to professional training (including Grof Transpersonal Training, Marek Aixalà, and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy), as well as collaboration with shamans from various traditions and facilitating processes in many countries around the world.

Before the workshop, participants will receive introductory materials so that we can begin our work together with more advanced topics. Each participant will also take part in an individual screening interview.

We reserve the right to decline participation for health or psychological reasons.

WHAT EXACTLY WILL THE INTEGRATION PART COVER?

  • Different models of psychedelic integration and the broader meta-framework for this kind of work
  • Developing the right mindset, which plays a major role in the integration process and helps us better understand these states
  • Different maps of the psyche and how to apply them depending on the context
  • Verbal and non-verbal approaches that help create a balance between the mind and the heart
  • Key elements of body-oriented work
  • Using transpersonal coaching to identify challenges and areas for change, and to define specific behaviors and actions to implement
  • Specific rituals that can help bring spiritual experiences to a sense of completion
  • Exploring some of the most common challenges—from confusion and disappointment when the initial “fireworks” have faded, to placing excessive demands on yourself after a session and the “what the hell?” effect
  • Working with case studies and methods for reconnecting with positive, resourceful states
  • Working with the therapeutic relationship as a foundation for safety
  • Recognizing and naming difficult patterns, and exploring ways of working with them further depending on one’s level of professional competence
  • Taking a holistic perspective that can help make sense of post-psychedelic confusion and chaos
  • Recognizing when more specialized professional support may be needed, particularly when experiences begin to overlap with psychopathology
  • Answering your questions and exploring possible solutions together

All participants will receive a workbook containing essential practices, questions, and exercises designed to make it much easier to find the right balance between structured approaches and improvisation.

PLEASE NOTE

A four-day workshop cannot replace several years of psychotherapy training.

There will not be enough time to cover certain areas in sufficient depth, so this workshop alone does not qualify participants to provide therapeutic treatment to others. Rather, it is intended as a valuable addition to existing skills and training in this specific area.

We are also not able to teach comprehensive approaches to working with the most complex or challenging cases. Instead, we will focus on helping participants recognize when a situation requires referral to a more appropriately qualified professional.

FACILITATORS:

TOMASZ KWIECIŃSKI

Tomek has been working therapeutically with expanded states of consciousness for many years as a transgenerational therapist and Holotropic Breathwork facilitator. He was the first person in Poland to complete Grof Transpersonal Training (GTT), a multi-year training program focused on guiding people through expanded states of consciousness, and he founded Holotropic Poland.

After facilitating dozens of group sessions across 19 countries on four continents, he joined the GTT Staff, a team of highly experienced professionals involved in training new facilitators. He has also completed the specialized “Ketamine and Trauma Treatment” training and has facilitated individual psilocybin sessions in Amsterdam.

At Key Clinic in Warsaw, he supports clients through the preparation, experience, and integration stages of ketamine-assisted therapy.

He is currently completing a four-year training program in behavioral psychotherapy and is in the final stage of Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy training at Polaris. He is also a co-founder of HoloMind Institute for Psychedelic Therapy, where he is responsible for the institute’s clinical and therapeutic approach.

He is the creator of the “Terapia Psychodeliczna” podcast and the author of Follow the Call: Therapeutic Experiences in Expanded States of Consciousness.

RACHELA DOBRZAŃSKA

Rachela studied psychology and completed Grof Transpersonal Training (GTT). She is passionate about working with expanded states of consciousness, both as a tool for her own personal growth and as a way of supporting others.

Having experienced significant trauma in her own life, she worked through many of these experiences during Holotropic Breathwork sessions in Poland, Spain, Austria, and Russia. This journey inspired her to begin Grof Transpersonal Training and to support others on their own paths.

In addition to Poland, she has facilitated Holotropic Breathwork workshops in Finland, Norway, Colombia, Austria, Georgia, and the Czech Republic. She also regularly organizes workshops for women.

In her professional life, Rachela is an artist and entrepreneur running her own business. Privately, she is the mother of six-year-old Teo.
